Incident Narrative

An employee was helping to load a dump truck with construction debris when, unbeknownst to him, another employee lowered the truck's lift gate. When he attempted to walk backward out of the truck, the lift gate was no longer there to support him and he fell 3.5 feet to the lift gate below, fracturing his L1, L2, and L3 vertebrae.
