An employee was removing a 3-feet by 5-feet AC wood platform while on a 6-foot A-frame ladder when the weight of the platform shifted and knocked him off balance, causing his left leg to be caught between the ladder's rungs as he fell about 4 feet to the floor. He suffered a compound fracture to his left leg and was hospitalized.
