Incident Narrative

An employee was loading a dumpster into the rear loading garbage truck. A bag of trash fell from the dumpster. As the employee put his hand over his head to block the trash, he placed his hand in a pinch point and inadvertently activated the winch of the truck, resulting in compound fractures to his left hand.
