An employee was using a cutting torch and cutting behind a piece of metal to prevent sparks from entering other areas when some sparks got behind him and ignited his clothes. He sustained possible second degree burns to both legs and his buttocks area, requiring surgery and hospitalization. Fire retardant clothing was not worn at the time of the incident.
