Incident Narrative
An employee walked around a mobile crane and was inspecting it when a crane operator climbed into the crane cab. While entering the cab, the operator grabbed the steering wheel, causing the crane's wheels to swivel. The employee inspecting the crane was pinched between the swiveling wheel and a crane outrigger, suffering seven broken ribs, a broken pelvis, and a broken wrist. The employee was hospitalized.
