Incident Narrative
A spotter was directing a boom lift operator to move the boom lift forward and providing start/stop signals. The spotter was walking in front of the boom lift when the boom lift operator moved forward and struck the spotter, knocking him down and pinching his left leg between the boom lift frame and the ground. The spotter suffered multiple fractures, with an open traumatic wound to his left foot and ankle.
