Incident Narrative
On 10/18/2017, at 8:33 AM, an employee was assembling a crate to ship a door. After placing door components in the crate, he used a nail gun to secure 2-inch by 4-inch wood bucks in place to prevent them from moving during shipment. After completing these tasks, he lifted his left leg to step over a door component. The nail gun tip then inadvertently contacted his left leg and fired, puncturing it 6 inches above the knee. He was hospitalized.
