Incident Narrative
An employee was guiding a section of fracturing iron (straight joint and checksum) as two coworkers were lowering the checksum out of the way. The injured employee's gloved right hand was caught between the straight joint and a wing for a suction hose. The straight joint rolled, allowing employee to pull his hand out of the glove. His right middle finger was fractured and lacerated, requiring amputation.
