Incident Narrative

An employee worked alone for an extended period of time in an enclosed cold storage room using a propane-fueled forklift to move, stack, and store pallets of peaches. The forklift had an exhaust issue, and the employee experienced an overexposure to carbon monoxide. The employee was hospitalized for carbon monoxide poisoning.
