Incident Narrative

An employee was attempting to replace the lift gate on a 53-foot trailer. He removed two tall yellow jacks and then hit the pin in the lift gate cylinder. The gate fell on him and he was pinned in the squatting position with the lift gate on top of his back. He suffered compression fractures to his back.
