Incident Narrative

An employee had just installed a paint mixing paddle onto a drill. He then picked up the drill with his right hand while he held the paddle with his left. He contacted the trigger, engaging the drill. The drill turned quickly, wrapping this left hand around the drill. His middle and ring fingers were amputated below the distal joint.
