An employee was loading a catalyst into a reactor when the pipe containing the catalyst became clogged. He attempted to unclog it by making a horizontal cut in the pipe when it whipped around, striking him. He suffered a fractured scapula, six fractured ribs, and a T-12 spinal disc compression.
