Incident Narrative

An employee was attempting to roll by hand a steel coil weighing approximately 600 pounds and measuring approximately 48 inches tall and 3 inches wide. The coil was upright and when the employee attempted to roll it, it tipped forward and fell to the ground and the employee fell with it. The employee sustained a partial fingertip amputation to the first three fingers on her right hand.
