Incident Narrative

On April 6, 2017, at approximately 3:10 p.m., an employee was spotting for a driver who was backing a 3/4 ton truck up to a trailer. The doors to the trailer were open for loading. Using the driver's side mirror, the driver backed toward the trailer. As the truck approached the trailer, the wind caused the door to the trailer to close. The employee moved between the truck and trailer to open the trailer door when his leg was pinched between the truck receiver and trailer bumper. He suffered a contusion to the left calf muscle.
