An employee was attempting to position a pipe on the swage unit using an F wrench style tool. When the employee was applying force to the tool, it slipped off of the pipe and the employee struck his hand on the metal table runner. The employee's hand was pinched between the tool and the table runner resulting in partial amputation of the right middle finger.
