Incident Narrative

The injured employee was part of a three man team replacing a rope in a high rise elevator. The employee was feeding part of the rope through the rigging when excess rope on top of the car created a loop. The employee's right leg was caught in the loop and when it tightened the employee suffered a compound fracture to the lower leg.
