Incident Narrative
An employee was using a handheld, air-powered wire bender tool (used to straighten wire coil so it can be welded to the end of another wire coil). He was holding the wire bender handle with his right hand while his left hand was holding the end of the wire bender. The tool was actuated, and his left middle finger was caught between the wire and the tool, partially amputating his left middle finger.
