An employee was dislodging a 2-foot-long pole-top cutoff when the pole became lodged on a belt. His right hand was caught between the pole-top cutoff and the belt, which resulted in the degloving of the back of his right hand and the amputation of his right pinky down to the first knuckle. He was hospitalized.
