Incident Narrative
An employee was operating a riding mower on the golf course to mow the lawn. He was on a hillside when he lost traction on wet grass, causing the mower to slide down the hill towards a tree. He put his right hand up to protect his head and kept his left hand on the steering wheel. At impact, the steering wheel turned quickly, injuring his left hand. He suffered a thumb amputation and four broken fingers.
