Incident Narrative

An employee was underneath the trailer tongue frame of a portable abrasive blasting unit, attempting to straighten a bent pin in the jack stand with a crowbar. As he pried on the pin with the crow bar, the jack fell, pinning him beneath the trailer tongue frame. He punctured his lung and broke five ribs, his sternum, and his left shoulder blade, requiring hospitalization.
