Incident Narrative

An employee was abrasive blasting inside a ship tank when electrical power to the dry dock was lost momentarily on two occasions, causing the pressure hose to stop. When the electrical power was regained, the employee lost control of the nozzle and the abrasive grit struck/lacerated the employee's left wrist, left thigh, and left bicep. The employee was hospitalized and had surgery.
