Incident Narrative
An employee was installing a fan belt while another mechanic was rotating the sheave by hand to walk the belt on. The injured employee's glove became caught between the belt and the motor sheave, and the employee's fingertip was pulled between the belt and sheave, amputating it to the first joint.
