Incident Narrative
An employee smelled chlorine when he entered the chemical room. He flushed the floor drain to eliminate the smell. He notified his supervisor about the smell, and the two of them flushed the drain with multiple barrels of water. After they had flushed the drain, the employee started to experience wheezing and had a slight headache. He was hospitalized due to lung/respiratory irritation.
