Incident Narrative
An employee had to manually place a trash container onto a hydraulic lift to empty the container. After the container was emptied, the employee was placing the lift back into position. As the arm of the lift was being raised, his left hand entered the path of the lift's arm, crushing his left pinky finger. His finger was partially amputated via surgery.
