Incident Narrative

An employee was elevating a manlift on the construction site to paint the side of the building. The employee was wearing a safety harness and was tied off in the basket at the time of the incident. The wheels of the lift began to sink in the ground, causing the manlift to tilt over. The lift fell to the ground on its side with the employee tied off in the basket. The employee's right hand broke while trying to brace for the fall.
