Incident Narrative
While performing a troubleshooting task on a folding ladder, an employee braced one foot on the kettle lid. The lid slipped off and fell inside the kettle, which was full of 250-degree melted flakes, causing the employee's leg to fall inside the hot solution. The employee suffered second degree burns to the left foot and lower leg.
