Incident Narrative

The employee was attempting to push a lawn mower housing into the press area, while pushing a newly pressed lawn mower housing out onto a conveyor. A lift rack that is on a timer rises up to catch the lawn mower housing that has just been pressed. The employee's left thumb was caught in the rack as it retracted resulting in a crushing injury/amputation to the thumb tip.
