Incident Narrative
On February 4th at approximately 2:00 PM, a maintenance mechanic was repairing a broken chain on a debarking/log cutter machine. A compression roller (log holder) came down and pinned the employee. The employee was hospitalized with two broken vertebrae requiring surgery. The machine was not locked out at the time of the incident.
