Incident Narrative
An employee was removing a pressurized cap from the coolant tank on an excavator when it blew off resulting in first and second degree burns to his right arm from the hot coolant. In addition, the employee jumped from the excavator in reaction to the burns and broke his leg. He was hospitalized.
