An employee was operating a paddle valve in an elevated lock position on the global SCM running tool. The valve self-assisted to the open position crushing his left pinkie finger between the paddle valve and the SCM running tool frame. The employee had an open laceration as well as an open fracture that was repaired at the hospital.
