Incident Narrative
An employee was cleaning the battery condenser between catwalks while standing on one of the machine's discharge side, between a catwalk and a 45 degree slide. The employee slid down the battery condenser slide (45 degree angle) and fell into the cotton press. The press was not running at the time of the incident. The employee sustained lacerations to the back of the head, fracture lumbar vertebrae and a collapsed lung.
