Incident Narrative
An employee used the ladder to go down into the 8 feet deep trench. He stepped onto the floor of the trench and started to sink. His co-worker dropped down an emergency retrieval sling and as he was pulling himself up with it, he hurt both legs resulting in torn ligaments.
