Incident Narrative

An employee was preparing electrical conduit and fittings for installation. The employee went to the lower level of the pumping station with the conduit and while handing the conduit to a coworker who was working from a ladder inside the lower pit, he fell into the floor opening, struck a light on the wall and pipes on the floor. The employee sustained seven broken ribs and injured the left knee.
