An employee lifted, carried, and placed 6-inch frames, which weighed approximately 28 pounds, 3 feet to a nearby table. While separating the material, he felt a pop in his stomach and instantly experienced pain. He was hospitalized for rupturing a pre-existing hernia, requiring surgery.
