Incident Narrative
An employee was checking lumber sizes in a "safe zone" about 18-20 ft from the board edger when a board broke while being processed. The wooden pieces were ejected, striking and injuring the employee 20 ft away. The employee sustained a broken nose, injuries to the face and loss of consciousness.
