Incident Narrative
With the assistance of other employees, the injured employee was relocating a tufting machine. The employees were in the process of leveling the machine by inserting metal leveling plates under the machine. The machine was being lifted by a 10-ton capacity pneumatic floor jack. The jack slipped and the tufting machine dropped trapping the employee's hand underneath. The employee suffered two fractured fingers.
