Incident Narrative
Employees were running rods downhole on a servicing rig when the pump hit a tight spot causing slack on the rods. The slack resulted in the rod elevator breaking and allowing the rods to come loose. The rod struck the employee in the middle, right side of the back and knocked him to the ground.
