Incident Narrative

An employee operating a tractor trailer backed the trailer up to the dock. The employee stopped just before the dock to open the trailer doors; as he opened up the left trailer door, he saw a double stacked pallet start to fall from the trailer. He was not able to get out of the way and was struck by the pallet and knocked to the ground. The employee fractured his right hip and right femur, requiring surgery and hospitalization.
