Incident Narrative

A grounds maintenance employee was using a ladder to cut a large tree branch with a chainsaw. The tree branch broke loose, striking the ladder and causing the employee to fall. The employee was hospitalized and treated for a laceration to the right forearm (involving 40 stitches), a punctured lung, and a fractured pelvis.
