An employee was on a train car in the yard helping the mobile crane crew unload long pieces of steel from the train car. The employee had just hooked the crane hook to a piece of metal and the operator was tightening the hook when another piece of metal began to fall. The employee jumped down and the steel landed on his right hand, amputating his ring finger and pinky tip.
