An employee was moving a sheet of steel (300 lbs.) with an overhead hoist. The employee was using a magnet to move the metal from the grinding area to the finished stack. When the sheet was over the finished pile of sheets, the magnet released; the sheet fell on his hand, crushing the left middle and ring fingers. He was hospitalized.
