Incident Narrative

The employee was installing a gear box at the Diedeshiem machine tool station (used in cutting metals for making toilet valves). The employee was using a hydraulic jack to align the gear box on the motor of the machine. His hand got stuck between the gear box disc and the motor case. His left hand pinky finger was amputated and his ring finger was also injured.
