Incident Narrative
On January 12, 2015, at 0745, a maintenance employee pulled a carriage saw out too far and the 350-pound saw fell to the floor, crushing his left fifth finger. He was treated and released at Pomerene Hospital with an orthopedic surgical consult. Surgery was performed on January 14, 2015, however, the last joint of the left fifth finger could not be salvaged and was amputated.
