Search the Vehicle Safety Database
Use the search bar above to look up any vehicle by make, model, or year. Our database covers every vehicle sold in the United States from 1966 to 2026, with recall campaigns, consumer complaints, crash data, and safety ratings pulled directly from NHTSA.
You can search by manufacturer name (e.g. "Ford", "Honda", "Tesla"), by model (e.g. "Civic", "F-150", "Model 3"), by year (e.g. "2024"), or any combination (e.g. "2022 Toyota RAV4"). Results show the number of recalls associated with each matching vehicle.

Frequently Asked Questions
What data is included in vehicle search results?
Each vehicle result links to a detailed profile page that includes all NHTSA safety recalls, consumer complaints with crash/fire/injury data, Technical Service Bulletins (TSBs), NHTSA crash test safety ratings, EPA fuel economy data, and NHTSA investigation records. All data comes directly from federal government sources.
How current is the vehicle safety data?
Our database contains all recall campaigns and consumer complaints published by NHTSA through our most recent data import. Recall data goes back to 1966 and includes over 29,000 campaigns. The complaint database contains over 2.1 million owner reports. VIN lookups are checked against NHTSA's live API for the most current open recall information.
Can I search for vehicles not sold in the United States?
No. RecallCheck covers vehicles sold in the United States only, as our data comes from NHTSA and EPA, U.S. federal agencies. However, many vehicles sold in the U.S. are also sold internationally under the same or similar names, so the recall and safety data may still be relevant.
