Issued by GENERAL MOTORS CORP. · Reported May 3, 1991 · 173 vehicles affected

What's wrong

THE FRONT SEAT UPPER HINGE COVER SCREWS ARE TOO LONG, AND INTERFERE WITH THE SEAT BACK INERTIA LOCK. THIS PREVENTS THE SEAT BACK FROM LOCKING PROPERLY.

Consequence

Remedy

REPLACE SCREWS SECURING UPPER HINGE TRIM COVER WITH CORRECT LENGTH SCREWS.
