NHTSA Campaign 26E019000
VISIBILITY:GLASS, SIDE/REAR:CRITICAL FASTENERS
Issued by Nova Bus (US) Inc. · Reported Apr 9, 2026 · 61 vehicles affected
What's wrong
Nova Bus (US) Inc. (Nova Bus) is recalling certain Ricon hidden frame windows sold through Prevost Parts and Prevost Service Center. Please refer to Nova Bus' attached document for specific part number information. Inadequate adhesion around the window frame may cause the glass to detach. As such, these windows fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 217, "Bus Emergency Exits and Window Retention and Release."
Consequence
The glass can fall out of the frame, increasing the risk of ejection and injury during a crash. Detached window glass can also become a road hazard for other vehicles, increasing the risk of a crash.
Remedy
Nova will inspect and replace the windows as necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed June 8, 2026. Owners may contact Nova Bus customer service at 1-450-472-6410. Nova Bus' number for this recall is ER26501. Vehicle Identification Numbers (VINs) involved in this recall will be searchable on NHTSA.gov beginning June 8, 2026.
