Issued by Chrysler (FCA US, LLC) · Reported Dec 19, 2024 · 295 vehicles affected

What's wrong

Chrysler (FCA US, LLC) is recalling certain Mopar rearview camera modules with part numbers 68598674AF, 68617886AD, and 68617887AD. Incorrect software in the rearview camera module may cause the rearview camera image not to display. As such, this equipment fails to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 111, "Rear Visibility."

Consequence

A rearview camera image that does not display decreases the driver's visibility, increasing the risk of a crash.

Remedy

Dealers will update the rearview camera module software, free of charge. Cameras that have not been installed on a vehicle will be repurchased. Owner notification letters were mailed January 21, 2025. Owners may contact FCA customer service at 1-800-853-1403. FCA's number for this recall is D6B.
