What's wrong
EVject, Inc. (EVject) is recalling certain Escape Connector NACS v1.0 and v1.1 electric vehicle charging cable adaptors. The adapters were manufactured without internal thermal protection.
Consequence
A connected charging cable without thermal protection can overheat, increasing the risk of a burn injury.
Remedy
EVject will replace all adapters without built-in thermal protection, free of charge. Interim owner notifications explaining the safety risk were mailed December 26, 2024. A second notice will be sent once remedy parts become available. Owners may contact EVject customer service at [email protected] or 1-650-308-8671.
