What's wrong
USK Internacional (USK) is recalling certain Tie Rod and Drag Link assemblies. The tie rod or drag link assembly may contain an improperly heat-treated ball stud, causing the ball stud to break.
Consequence
A broken ball stud can cause tie rod failure and a complete loss of steering control, increasing the risk of a crash.
Remedy
Affected vehicle manufacturers will determine their own remedies. Vehicle manufacturers were notified May 25, 2024. Owners should contact their respective vehicle manufacturer for more details.
