What's wrong
HME, Inc. (HME) is recalling one 2014 Ford F-550 emergency vehicle. The on-board diagnostic system may not illuminate the malfunction indicator light (MIL) on the dashboard to alert the operator when certain faults are present in the vehicle's emissions control system.
Consequence
The driver may be unaware of issues with the emissions system, which could result in a loss of drive power and increase the risk of a crash.
Remedy
Dealers will reprogram the PCM, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed on May 20, 2022. Owners may contact HME's customer service at 1-616-534-1463.
